Pass Plus is a six-module training syllabus designed by the DSA to develop the skills of newly qualified driver and to broaden their driving experience.

 

WHAT IS PASS PLUS?

 Pass Plus Is a voluntary scheme that offers benefits to:-

Newly qualified car drivers.

 Safer driving and discounted insurance for your first year.

Instructors.

  Opportunity for pass plus registered instructors to help develop newly qualified drivers

 skills and knowledge.

Insurers.

  Fewer claims and less expenditure.

The general Public.

                                                        THE MODULES.

TOWN DRIVING.            Dealing with heavy traffic,

                                    odd roundabouts, pedestrians, etc

ALL WEATHER DRIVING. Dealing with rain, snow, speeds, awareness. Etc.

OUT OF TOWN DRIVING 

& RURAL ROADS.          Pedestrians on and off footpaths,

                                   Horses, animals, slow moving vehicles, mud on roads, etc.

NIGHT DRIVING.           Lit & unlit roads, pedestrians, headlights, etc.

DUEL CARRIAGEWAYS.  Joining & leaving, roundabouts, planning, overtaking,                                                                                  

                                   Speeds etc.

MOTORWAYS.               Joining and leaving slip road, speed, planning, overtaking,                                         

                                   breakdown procedure, etc.
